Saint Petersburg, Russia (June 28, 2024): Magnit, one of Russia’s leading retailers, became the official partner of the White Nights marathon in Saint Petersburg.

The race will take place in the city’s historic center on June 29. Participants running the full marathon of 42.2 kilometers will start at 10:00 p. m., while the 10-kilometer run will begin at 9:00 p. m. Both runs will start in the Palace Square and end near the Bronze Horseman monument in the Senate Square.

Runners, volunteers, and guests of the event will be able to enjoy special interactive zones with various entertainment and recreational activities arranged by Magnit. For those looking for a challenge, Magnit has prepared a Just Dance play area and a space where visitors can test their coordination, dexterity, and reaction speed, complete with a giant treadwheel. Participants wishing to lift their spirits can “charge up” with positive energy thanks to the colorful photo zone. The support corner provides assistance in creating inspiring placards, while the cheerful children’s space, fanciful face paints, and special supporter kits help boost morale for every runner. Magnit has prepared prizes and souvenirs for participants of sporting and creative activities.

Some of the Company’s employees have decided to run the White Nights marathon—50 of its staff members will take part in the race.

Magnit continues to support public sporting events, implement its own sports projects, and organize internal competitions. For example, this year, the year of Magnit’s 30^th anniversary, the Company’s employees and anyone willing to participate can take part in a series of runs to celebrate the occasion. The series started in April in Saint Petersburg and will conclude in Sochi in November. In total, the project will cover 15 cities.
