Krasnodar, Russia (April 25, 2023): Magnit, one of Russia’s leading retailers, plans to expand its MCosmetic drogerie chain operating in Uzbekistan to 80 stores in 2023, as well as to start roiling out to the country’s regions.

MCosmetic currently has 20 stores in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region. By the end of the year, Magnit will launch stores outside this territory in cities like Ferghana, Samarqand, Namangan, and Margilan.

MCosmetic stores sell non-food fast-moving consumer goods including makeup and skincare products, perfumes, household chemicals, personal hygiene products, as well as products for children, home, and pets. The concept of Uzbekistan stores is based on the best practices of the Magnit Cosmetic format, the largest Russian drogerie chain with more than 7,000 stores.

The average sales area of an MCosmetic store is around 250 sq. m. The assortment spans 7,000–8,000 items, including well-known Uzbek, Russian, and global brands. For instance, Uzbekistan’s manufacturers are represented by 20 popular brands in categories like household chemicals, hygiene products, home articles, etc. In addition to that, the stores also sell Magnit’s private labels, such as Stellary, Beauty Bomb, Gardenica, KuMiHo, and others, which are delivered from Russia. In response to consumer demand, MCosmetic also added over 300 halal products to its assortment.
