Krasnodar, Russia (August 1, 2024): Magnit, one of Russia’s leading retailers, is launching a pharmacy marketplace via its Magnit Pharmacy format.

On the Company’s website and in the Pharmacy section of its mobile application “Magnit: Promotions and Delivery,” customers will now be able to access not only the assortment offered by Magnit itself, but also pharmaceutical products from partner companies. PULS, one of the largest Russian pharmaceutical distributors, became the first partner of Magnit Pharmacy.

Magnit Pharmacy’s range includes an average of up to 4,000 SKUs available for online ordering. The introduction of the partner’s assortment allowed expanding the offer to 15 thousand items, which are can now be ordered online and delivered to any convenient Magnit Pharmacy throughout the chain’s entire geography. Orders will be shipped to pharmacies by the partner together with the regular assortment. Delivery time will vary in different regions, ranging from one to three days on average. The orders do not have a minimum purchase threshold, and shipping remains free for the customer.

By the end of the year, Magnit Pharmacy plans to engage another pharmaceutical distributor, one of the leaders of the Russian market, in the project. In addition, Magnit Pharmacy is considering cooperation with other partners to take care of delivery of orders to pharmacies.

Magnit Pharmacy operates a chain of 1,000 stores and an e-commerce channel: customers can place an order on the Magnit website and in its app. Products from the Company’s own assortment can be picked up at any convenient Magnit Pharmacy 30 minutes after ordering.

Magnit Pharmacy is performing better than other Magnit formats in terms of e-com—its share in the turnover of Magnit Pharmacy has skyrocketed and reached almost 20% over the past year and a half.
